Where do childbirth educators work?

A childbirth educator may work in a variety of settings. Many hospitals or medical centers have childbirth educators on staff to assist in the maternity and prenatal wards. Childbirth educators also work for private practices, health insurance companies, and community health centers. Some choose to be self-employed and offer classes in their private office or at home.
