Biostatisticians work in a variety of industries and settings including pharmaceutical companies, educational institutions, and research facilities. Biostatisticians can work in any setting where risk factors and possible outcomes must be analyzed. They can work alone or on teams with other mathematicians, biologists, and statisticians, and usually work in an office setting. They work for colleges and universities, governments, hospitals, and other companies in the medical industry.
