Where do behavioral health technicians work?

Hospitals, mental health facilities, and shelters are common places for a behavioral health technician to work. Also known as psychiatric technicians, many work in psychiatric or substance abuse hospitals, treating disorders like substance abuse, PTSD, mental instability, or problems stemming from physical and emotional abuse. A behavioral health technician may also work in a rehabilitation center or government-run mental health facilities.
