Where can an animal trainer work?

Animal trainers can work in numerous settings. Horse trainers, for example, work at stables or ranches. Dog trainers or other small animal trainers may work at a kennel specializing in show animals or operate a private business, such as an obedience training school. You may also go to your clients’ homes to train a pet. Large animal trainers, such as dolphin or orca trainers, work at aquariums, zoos, and other public facilities. You can also find work at special facilities that train animals to work in the entertainment industry.
