Where can trauma nurses work?

Trauma nurses work in the emergency room at a hospital. There may be careers elsewhere that use the same skills, but the title of trauma nurse is specifically for those that tend to the most critical conditions in a hospital emergency room. As with all nursing jobs, this is a career that requires long shifts on your feet, and both emotionally and physically draining work. Given the nature of trauma care, this is an extraordinarily stressful work environment. However, if saving lives in a fast-paced field appeals to you, working in a trauma unit is an incredibly rewarding career.
