Where can dietary cooks work?

Dietary cooks can work in a number of institutional settings. You can work in public or private school cafeterias or dining facilities for colleges or universities. You can also find positions at hospitals or medical facilities, particularly facilities that provide inpatient services, such as nursing homes and rehabilitation clinics. Other dietary cooks may work in the armed services. In any of these positions, you should expect to have access to a large, industrial kitchen. While the people you serve and the food you cook may change, the settings should be the same from job to job.
