The vast majority of broadcast technicians work in the radio and television broadcasting industry. General broadcast technicians can find work with small and medium-sized broadcast studios. Large studios usually have specialized broadcast technicians each devoted to different areas. Another prominent industry in which broadcast technicians work is the motion picture and video industry. This is the second most common employment area for broadcast technicians, according to the US Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics.
