What is a rheumatology NP?

A Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a specialized healthcare provider who assesses, diagnoses, and manages patients with rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia. They work closely with rheumatologists to create treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide patient education on managing chronic conditions.
