A Flex Developer is a software developer who specializes in building applications using Adobe Flex, a framework for creating rich internet applications (RIAs) that run on Adobe Flash Player or Adobe AIR. They use ActionScript, MXML, and other web technologies to develop interactive and multimedia-rich user interfaces. Flex Developers often work on enterprise applications, dashboards, or media-heavy applications that require a high level of engagement. Although Adobe has discontinued support for Flash Player, some legacy systems still require Flex expertise.
