What does a lighting grip do?

A Lighting Grip is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining lighting and rigging equipment on a film or television set. They work closely with the Director of Photography and Gaffer to shape and control lighting for each scene. This includes safely rigging lights, handling diffusion and reflectors, and ensuring all equipment is secure.
