What qualities make a good golf course superintendent?

You need a variety of qualities to be a good superintendent. For one thing, you must be able to evaluate the way a golf course plays from the perspective of a golfer and change the course and greens design to provide challenges for different types of players. You must also have strong technical ability and a deep understanding of soil and grass management, including a working knowledge of agronomy. You also need to have excellent organizational and administrative skills and be experienced with budgets and finances.
