What is the difference between a culinary manager and a chef?

Career: Culinary Manager

The responsibilities of a chef and culinary manager are different, though people in these two positions may work together closely when it comes to planning meal services, training employees, and sourcing ingredients. A chef is responsible for the food and operations in the kitchen. As a culinary manager, you are also concerned about food quality, but you are involved in other aspects of the restaurant operation as well. You focus on the guest experience, making sure that each customer enjoys their meal and that the chef has all the ingredients and staff to make the meal.
