The primary difference between a computer architect and a systems analyst is their role in the IT department of a company. A computer architect focuses on the current system used by the company and enhances it or creates a new system when necessary. A systems analyst looks at the technology needs of the company as a whole and works to develop technology solutions to improve company production and efficiency. These solutions include the current system created by the computer architect, but also includes many other factors.
