What is the difference between Stata and SAS?

Career: Stata

SAS stands for Statistical Analysis System. It is a software that allows for advanced multivariate analysis, business intelligence, predictive analytics, analytics, and data management. With Stata, the entire dataset is in memory at one time, but with SAS, there is only one observation at a time. You modify the dataset with a series of statements, whereas with Stata, one command does all of this. The benefit of SAS is that it does not use up much memory, while Stata is a very memory intensive software.
