What is an Oracle developer?

An Oracle developer is a computer programmer who works to design and develop Oracle programs or databases. Their responsibilities include creation, modification, and testing of the SQL and Java code in the Oracle databases. Oracle developers have a bachelor’s degree in computer science and are often required to have additional qualifications, including one of six certification levels from Oracle. Different roles as an Oracle developer require different levels of certification and expertise. It is also helpful to know other programming languages and experience working with cloud-based platforms.
