What is an interactive designer?

An interactive designer creates and redesigns websites and software products to make them engaging, dynamic, and user-friendly. To pursue a career as an interactive designer, you typically need experience in interactive web design and a portfolio of relevant work samples. You also need to understand programming and design software, such as Photoshop and CSS, along with industry concepts like user interface design and user experience flows. Some employers may also require a degree in a design-related field. Additional qualifications include strong creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to implement art direction and work as part of a team.
