What is an audio visual engineer?

Career: Audio-Visual Technician

While for some positions, the terms audio-visual engineer and audio-visual technician are synonymous, there are some instances where there are differences. The skill set required for both careers is very similar—you must know your equipment, have good recording and production skills, understand how best to meet client needs based on desired outcome and venue, etc. Audio-visual engineers sometimes work on more interpretive and creative projects, like working with recording artists to produce music and concerts. This may require a bit more creativity and ingenuity in the design process to get the desired outcome than a technician job.
