What is a warehouse order selector?

Warehouse order selectors locate and gather products for customer orders. As a warehouse order selector, your job duties include sorting merchandise, pulling stock, loading goods onto pallets, and labelling those pallets for shipment to stores or consumers. The qualifications for warehouse selector jobs are a high school diploma or equivalent, physical strength, and solid work ethic. Through on-the-job training, you learn how to operate machinery such as a pallet jack to load and move merchandise around the warehouse. Once you have gained experience in a warehouse order selector job, you can advance your career to training or supervisory positions.
