A treasury manager oversees the cash flow and revenue of a business. They are in charge of the organization’s overall finances, including managing financial risk. Their main job duties are to monitor day-to-day operations while overseeing a long-term financial strategy. Additional responsibilities include maintaining banking relationships, arranging for investing and financing, and adhering to all company policies. Business, communication, and leadership skills are vital. Other career qualifications include accounting or banking experience. Many treasury managers start as analysts and move to management positions before becoming treasury managers.
