What is a technical consultant?

A technical consultant provides support and training to employees at companies or organizations about a variety of computer software and online technologies. Job duties include meeting with clients to discover their needs, identifying potential solutions, installing and implementing solutions, and leading training employee sessions. They may also help troubleshoot bugs and maintain systems. To do this job well, you need strong technical skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
