What is a technical advisor?

A technical advisor works with a business when a project falls outside of their area of expertise. In this career, you may work with a team on specific projects, or you may act as a consultant on company development or expansion into a new sector. A technical advisor job requires experience with risk assessment and strong analytical skills. In order to provide sound advice about your area of expertise, you also need experience in the field in which you are an advisor. You need excellent communication skills, as one of your duties is to communicate knowledge and information to the team, management, and executives.
