What is a sprinkler fitter?

Sprinkler fitters install a building’s fire system. As a sprinkler fitter, your daily responsibilities include cutting, threading, assembling, and bonding all pipes and tubes to ensure they pass every fire inspection. Many sprinkler fitters take on additional duties as pipe fitters and install and repair piping not related to fire protection. You must know how to safely operate a variety of tools, including cutting torches, drills, saws, and wrenches, as well as be willing to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
