As a sourcing analyst, you note changes in market trends and pricing; even small fluctuations in the market create significant problems with profitability, so it is important to monitor pricing closely. When the market changes dramatically, you develop strategies to minimize the effects on the company and research new ways to procure materials. To become a sourcing analyst, you need a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, or a related field, and industry experience.
