As a software technician, your primary job duties involve providing helpdesk support for coworkers. If you’re interested in pursuing a career as a software technician, you may want to consider earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Prior experience in providing IT support for a company or organization is a plus. You can further prove your skills with a professional certification, such as the A+ Certification. As an entry-level position, qualifications are minimal, although the more experience you have developing your customer service skills, the more likely you are to succeed in this job.
