What is a site director?

A site director oversees ongoing construction projects, ensuring that duties are carried out safely and accurately. As a site director, you work directly with the contractors and subcontractors involved in the development of various construction sites. Job duties include setting up temporary workstations, conducting regular safety inspections, staying on budget, and scheduling the delivery of materials. In the end, you must ensure that a building is finished on time, and you’re in charge of coming up with solutions to any problems that arise. This job requires some experience with site management, usually as an assistant site manager or in a similar position.
