What is a retail sales assistant?

Retail sales assistants help customers find the products they need and introduce new products for them to try. As a retail sales assistant, you must provide excellent customer service and be able to answer customer questions on the products you sell. Other job duties include cleaning and straightening up the sales floor, taking inventory of merchandise, and restocking shelves.
