A resource teacher has a unique set of skills designed to help them teach children with learning difficulties. As a resource teacher, whether you work with a student one-on-one or have a dedicated resource room where you take students for tailored education, you have the skills and patience to teach children who have a variety of disabilities. You fulfill the regular job duties of a classroom teacher but with additional requirements for knowing how to adapt existing curriculum to students’ needs. Throughout your career as a resource teacher, your goal is to create safe and nurturing learning environments that support the unique developmental needs of children.
