What is remote legal research?

Remote legal research jobs allow you to work from home to research statues, legislations, and existing case law. In your role as a legal researcher, you may collect information, leverage public resources to find things that may impact a case, identify applicable laws and rules, and summarize your findings for a law firm or legal department. Remote legal researchers also speak with clients, update relevant parties on their findings, respond to discovery requests, coordinate with head lawyers, and apply the principles of logical deduction to information to uncover the truth. Many remote legal research jobs focus on specific types of cases, as they all require a different approach. Remote legal researchers rarely appear in court.
