What is a rehab aide?

A rehab aide assists with the daily operations of a physical therapy practice. Helping with patients’ recovery and paperwork are your primary responsibilities. Additional job duties include maintaining the treatment area, setting up for therapy sessions, cleaning and maintaining equipment, transferring immobile patients into wheelchairs and transporting them through the medical facility, and performing routine patient care tasks, like applying ice or heat packs. You answer to a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. You need strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and interact with patients.
