What is a recreation worker?

As a recreation worker, you are responsible for leading leisure activities in recreation facilities, including, parks, summer camps, aquatic centers, playgrounds, senior centers, and sports centers. You help large groups of people stay active and have fun, leading activities such as arts and crafts, science fairs, music, plays, games, or sports. Workers in this role often spend a lot of time outdoors and know how to organize and explain safety rules to program participants.
