What is a public health educator?

Public health educators provide health and wellness information to the public and promote programs to improve community health. They lead educational courses on nutrition, basic health care, stress, and exercise to prevent illness and teach ways to cope with existing long-term health concerns. Public health educators also distribute health services information and work with community members to implement a variety of programs. Their duties include evaluating and improving existing awareness programs, advocating for health care resources, and providing wellness training.
