What is a production technician?

A production technician is responsible for assembling and testing manufactured products before large-scale production. Your job duties include liaising with production and quality assurance (QA) departments to ensure that all features of a product are present and functional, and that the product presents no obvious concerns for manufacturing and assembly. Employers prefer you have skills and experience operating, maintaining, and servicing equipment used in the production process. During your career, you provide feedback to the production manager and quality control manager on how best to improve and refine the production process.
