What is a part time nurse?

A part-time nurse provides patient care for illnesses and injuries at a health care facility, medical office, or other organization that has a nurse on staff, such as a school or the military. Part-time nurses have the same general responsibilities as full-time nurses; the primary difference is that part-time nurses work thirty hours or less per week. As a part-time nurse, you develop nursing care plans to guide the treatment of patients, administer medications, check patient vital signs, and chart medical records. Part-time nurses also advise patients and families about disease prevention and at-home care for medical conditions. Other duties and responsibilities vary, depending on your level of education and the type of medical practice where you work.
