A park manager directs staff and operations of a public park on a day-to-day basis. This direction can include anything from ensuring routine maintenance takes place to working with a landscape company to maintain grass and trees. As the park manager, you solve problems associated with park operations and with employees regarding policies and procedures. You are also in charge of meeting with municipalities on park issues that may affect them. You can be responsible for parks of all sizes including everything from a small city park to a national park, but your duties and responsibilities regarding the overall upkeep and operations of the park remain the same.
