A measurement technician installs, inspects, and calibrates flow meters that measure gas, water, or other liquid through supply lines or pipes. As a measurement technician, your job duties include installing regulated piping systems, calibrating the meters to meet specifications, sampling and recording output of the system, preparing a report on the accuracy of measurement equipment, and maintaining the system to keep the flow moving smoothly. You also troubleshoot and issues that arise with the flow or measurement of the system.
