What is a manual QA tester?

As a Manual QA Tester, your responsibilities and duties include the manual testing of new software in both the pre- and post-release stage of the development lifecycle. You look for problems and bugs in the system that users may encounter and help developers find solutions to the issues. You may work as a black box tester, which means you do not know the code or workings of the system and test, experiencing the system as a user. You may also work as a clear or white box tester, where you have access and knowledge about the code and workings of the system and can exam each test case with both the user’s and developer’s perspective in mind.
