What is a Mandarin tutor?

As a Mandarin tutor, you teach the Chinese language to clients in a one-on-one session. You may teach beginners or advanced students depending on your skill level, with ages ranging from young children to adults and business professionals. You assist with test prep, reading, writing, and speaking. Your responsibilities include determining each students’ language comprehension level and designing lessons and study materials to provide the most effective learning environment. Your duties include holding tutoring sessions in person at a client’s house or online through video conferencing on various platforms that bring clients to you. You provide assignments to improve topics that each student is struggling with and review past assignments and tests to ensure full understanding of any wrong answers.
