A hotel manager is the person ultimately responsible for the guest’s experience at their hotel or lodging establishment. In this role, you inspect rooms, maintain the hotel’s standards regarding décor, services, and housekeeping, train new employees, and oversee budgeting and financial issues, such as setting room rates and offering promotions. You also address all complaints from guests. Particularly at larger hotels, you are responsible for many other workers, so you need to have excellent organization and interpersonal skills for the job.
