A grocery associate is an entry-level retail employee at a grocery store. As a grocery associate, you perform a variety of duties, including stocking bulk bins, coolers, and shelves, ensuring the aisles and displays are clean, providing customer assistance, such as helping people find a specific product, and bagging groceries at checkout. You also regularly report to a supervisor. Qualifications for this job include the ability to follow directions, adhere to all health and safety codes, and work as part of a team. It’s helpful to have customer service experience and organizational skills as well as a high school diploma.
