What is a domain architect?

A domain architect is an expert within a certain part of their domain who uses architecture and other techniques to benefit a company. In this career, you work on high-level projects and must ensure the processes fall in line with the business and IT strategies. Often, you deliver work that relies on expert knowledge. As a domain expert, you must understand how the enterprise relies on COTS application and have an in-depth understanding of business structures such as share trading. Qualifications include being able to handle data service processes and focus on process level solutions.
