What is a distribution technician?

A distribution technician performs general delivery or courier duties such as collecting materials and delivering them as necessary. You receive documents, messages, materials, or packages, and are responsible for safely transporting them to their final destination. In this career, you work by delivering materials on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, truck or car, or public transportation. There are jobs dependent strictly on bicycle distribution in major cities. In towns where bicycle or foot travel is less convenient, services rely on trucks, cars, or public transportation. Responsibilities can include operating machinery such as a forklift, and truck loading and unloading.
