What is a delivery manager?

A delivery manager works to prevent or resolve any issues or obstacles that may inhibit a team from delivering a product or service quickly. This career requires scrum master skills, specifically in using agile methodology tools to support a team that so that they can work efficiently and make changes rapidly. Other duties include leading production processes, prioritizing workflow tasks, and encouraging a productive work environment. In addition to for-profit companies, government departments and nonprofit organizations also hire delivery managers to streamline their operations. Qualifications vary depending on the company's industry, but delivery managers, in general, have excellent communication and organizational skills. Prior experience as a product or office manager is usually required for this job.
