What is a construction analyst?

Construction analysts work with management and designers to evaluate expenditures and timelines of various projects to ensure they are cost-effective and that they comply with all project regulations. They follow a project from the design stage through completion, monitoring each phase and reporting back to management on the progress of the project and any concerns that may arise. This career requires a high level of practical knowledge in construction procedures, home design, cost data, and regulations. Qualifications to become a construction analyst include a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, and several years of experience in the construction industry. Some states require specialized certification for construction analysts.
