What is a computer specialist?

As a computer specialist, you are responsible for the support of computer software, hardware, and operating systems used by an organization. You are most likely part of a technical support group for a company’s information technology (IT) department and are a specialist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems. Your job duties include troubleshooting issues reported by users, identifying root causes of the reported issues, deploying workstations and managing login credentials for employees, and installing software updates on computers.
