What is a community worker?

A community worker typically collaborates with social service agencies to provide assistance to those in need. As a community worker, you may help individuals or families who are struggling financially, trying to overcome addiction, or looking for employment. Your job duties may include working with families to apply for housing assistance, finding potential employers for individuals and setting up job interviews, or setting up health care aides for those who are sick or elderly.
