What is a CAD administrator?

A CAD administrator uses computer-aided design software to create products, systems, and solutions. As a CAD administrator, your job duties include developing detailed CAD designs, scheduling tasks to complete the development effort, and performing post-production analysis of the finished product. Typical qualifications for the career include at least an associate degree in CAD, engineering, or a related field, although some employers may prefer a bachelor’s degree. You also need experience working with a variety of computer-aided design software, as well as excellent technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
