What is a back end web developer?

A back end web developer deals with the server side of a web app or software. They usually create the application programming interface that the front-end developers use to design the apps. As a back end web developer, your duties are to ensure that the data moves seamlessly from the server to the end user and to create the back-end databases that contain user and app data. You work closely with the front-end development team to test both parts of the project for performance and usability.
