What is SAP MM?

SAP MM is a part of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning software that focuses on materials management. The primary goal of this system is to analyze inventory and supply chain processes, review the process for errors or gaps, and advise users on the best way to change things to ensure there are no gaps in supplies or delivery times. SAP MM is often used to help develop supply lines for new products and users often create models to test potential product routes. Elements of this system include procurement, master data lists, account determination, the value of materials, inventory management, material requirement planning, and other tools.
