What is NDT?
Career: Ndt
NDT stands for nondestructive testing, a quality control method designed to inspect materials and objects for flaws and weaknesses. Many industries rely on NDT, both in the manufacturing phase of a project and post-production, to ensure that products continue to be safe to use. A major benefit of NDT is that it is nondestructive, so items that undergo testing are still serviceable when the process is complete. NDT methods include equipment like lasers, sonic and ultrasonic technology, radar, electromagnetic gauges, radiography, liquid penetration, thermal and infrared penetration, vibration analysis, and visual testing.
