What is microblading?

Microblading is a technique that uses a pen-like tool to provide permanent makeup for the eyebrows. In this case, the permanent results last about 18 months. Microblading is similar to a cosmetic tattoo, but the medical pigment used remains near the surface of the skin. Despite the name, microblading does not use blades. Instead, it uses a group of tiny needles to lightly scratch the skin before using ink to fill the gaps. Most microblading artists, or microbladers, provide touch-ups after about two months to fill in any gaps, and at this point, the ink is set. The results of the process take about 30 days to fully appear, a detail that clients should always know before the process begins.
